Cold colours are used throughout the title sequence and a warm imagery's are used as well of clasped hands, memories, and the living. And even though there is a presence of death in nearly every frame, beauty is still shown. The titles are shown in different areas of each shot. Some of the titles are written on a grave stone and another in a glass water.

Six Feet Under
Cold colours are used throughout the title sequence and a warm imagery's are used as well of clasped hands, memories, and the living. And even though there is a presence of death in nearly every frame, beauty is still shown. The titles are shown in different areas of each shot. Some of the titles are written on a grave stone and another in a glass water.
Shutter Island
The title sequence does not give much away at all but it is very effective. The sounds in the background is the most effective and gives the most away about what the film is about, they are not very pleasant sounds and gives enigma about what the film the is about. The sounds include rattling of chains, water like they are in the sea or a river, the sounds of birds chirping, the sounds of trickling water and the sounds of gates closing with whispering in the background. This gives a creepy effect and makes it sound quite scary and disturbing. With the sounds the picture shows the titles, a foggy background and not clearly but showing chains, barbed wires and cells with metal doors. This gives off the genre of a horror or psychological thriller. At the end it shows a ship in the middle of a foggy sea. The opening makes you quite confused about what is going to happen in the film.
London To Brighton
the use of enigma in the title sequence makes the audience want to carry on watching and wanting to know what is going on.
The women with all the bruises and marks over her face makes you wonder why she has this and who has done this too her, you also want to know who she is running from. The fact there is a young child with her on the run as well who has make up on her face makes it more disturbing. You also want to know what the relationship between the young girl and the women is we don't know whether they are related or not.
The setting of the bathroom in the opening scene is very dirty and not somewhere you should take a child. The scene of the girl waiting in the cubicle on her own is very effective as it shows how scared and vulnerable she is this makes you feel empathy for the child and know how frightened she is.
When it shows the women going out to find money by selling herself makes you also feel sorry for the women and shows the darkness of the film and how she struggles to get by.
On the train you see a more caring side to the women when she comforts the young girl and is there for her. It also makes you wonder why they are leaving.
This opening sets the genre of the film that it is quite disturbing and upsetting, it also gives something away but not too much so they want to keep watching.

Target audience
Our target audience would be young people as the main character is a young girl this can then make them relate to the main character. As the girl got her mental desies from drugs, in order to set out an anti drug message, we need to show what the bad causes are and scare the audience from not wanting to do it. We do not want to promote drugs but make them look bad. We are aiming for people who enjoy a physiological thriller and like deep films that aren't just light hearted.

In terms of our content we are aiming for a 15 plus certificate as our target audience is for teenagers but we want to use some swearing and more explicit scenes to shock the audience.

Planning
Planning:
Location- Camden:
Camden lock
Camden Bridge
Camden public toilets
Camden high street
Camden market
Were choosing Camden to be our location as it’s an urban
town and full of the younger generation and also has a different culture and
slightly crazy, its colourful and suiting to how we want to portray our
character. There is also a drug culture and this reflects our character and
fits in with our overall film idea.
We chose Agnesa to act for us as she was available at the
time, lives close to us so if we needed to re shoot then we would be able too.
We also need a girl who was quite young around our age because we needed it to
appeal to a younger target audience and it also makes it more upsetting if it
is a young girl.
Researching our film:
Schizophrenic: is a mental disorder characterized by a
breakdown of thought processes and by a deficit of typical emotional responses
Common symptoms include auditory hallucinations, paranoid or bizarre delusions,
or disorganized speech and thinking, and it is accompanied by significant
social or occupational dysfunction.
We had to research our characters condition in which the
film would be about.
We made her to be schizophrenic, researched the symptoms we
chose specific symptoms that we are going to portray in our film these where:
paranoia, hallucinations, and social dysfunctions.
Filming days:
Filming in the holiday period would not be as effective as
it would be very busy and hard to film as lot of people visit Camden town as it
is tourist attracted. So we decided to film on a Wednesday morning when we do
not have any lessons, this is much better as because it is in the morning it is
bright and also less busy. Because it was a weekday everyone is usually at work
or school so not many people would visit Camden town this made is going to make
it easier to film.

For my opening sequence I decided to work in a pair as we both had the same sort of ideas and we thought that we would make our film better if we worked together and had two different people to share ideas.
My film will be about a young teenage girl who is Schizophrenic, it is about how she deals with it and lives with it. Also all her struggles in life and how she overcame them. It also will show how she became to have schizophrenic through her painful upbringing. The opening of our film will give you some sort of an idea what the main character is like, it will give enigma to why she is acting like this? And make you want to carry on watching.
We decided our genre to be a physiological thriller as it gives good effect and is somewhat easy to show in our filming. My target audience will be young adults who enjoy a physiological thrillers.
